We were built to close the gap between care that exists and care people can reach.

Community Health Access Alliance is a national nonprofit expanding access to healthcare by bringing services, partnerships, and pathways to care directly into underserved communities.

Healthcare has made extraordinary advances. Yet across the country, millions of people still face barriers that delay or deny the care they need — not because the medicine doesn't exist, but because access to it is broken.
Our founding story

Why we exist

Community Health Access Alliance was founded on a simple but urgent belief: access to healthcare should never depend on a person’s ZIP code, income, race, insurance status, or whether their community happens to have local services.

Too often, healthcare is available but not accessible. Specialty services exist but remain out of reach because of distance, cost, workforce shortages, limited health information, or the simple absence of a trusted local connection. These barriers fall hardest on rural communities, underserved urban neighborhoods, and families who have historically been left behind.

“We don’t just improve access to healthcare — we build the pathways that make access possible.”

So we built an organization designed to do two things at once: expand access to care in communities and build the partnerships that keep that access open long after an event ends. Rather than asking people to come to healthcare, we work alongside healthcare and community partners to bring health education, screening, care navigation, and connections to services closer to where people already live, work, worship, learn, and gather.

What we do

Care delivered. Partnerships built. Access expanded.

Our work begins where trust already exists. Through our flagship national program, Screening Access Across America™, we bring targeted screenings, health education, and connection to care into the communities that need them most — starting in California with Healthy Skin. Healthy Communities.

We meet people where they are

Skin health, diabetes, HIV, and cardiovascular screenings — focused on the conditions that go under-detected in the communities we serve, where early detection changes everything.

We connect people to what they're looking for

Clear, culturally grounded information that helps people understand and act on their health..

We work alongside communities, not over them

We don't replace existing healthcare systems — we strengthen them. We don't replace community organizations — we empower them. We don't work for communities — we work with them.

We build for the long term

Lasting impact comes from sustained partnerships, not isolated events. We leave communities stronger — with more knowledge, more capacity, and more access than before.
